03/04 JDM Specs
Hey up,
Any one got any links or know what the current different Jap models are?
From the Litchfeilds site there are WRX, WRX STi and Type C versions
Are there different specs with in these models?
Are all Type C cars RA spec, lightweight stripped aircon/electrics etc?
They also say that all of these are 280bhp (ps), I thought some where up to about 300?
Trying to decide between import or UK at the moment but can find much on the specs.
Thanks in advance
Paul

Well from what i have been told at lichfields and TSL motorsports some of the improvements over uk spec on the JDM models are:
Forged rods and pistons
Wilder cams
roller bearing turbo
and more
So in my eyes JDM=better tuning results!
Forget all the scare rubbish surrounding getting an import serviced or parts as my car is going in for a service very soon no problems and 99% of UK parts will fit JDM models anyhow.
Also how many times do you think a MY03/04 is going to be in the garage to warrant the "oh my god its an import what am i going to do now" rubbish...
If TSL motorsports and Lichfield imports say you can get a better tune out of a JDM car because of the slightly higher spec then what more do you need to know!
JDM All the WAY!

The Japanese always like to keep the best models to themselves but we are delighted to continue to supply the very best the orient has to offer. The 2004 Japanese domestic market STI range has seen some even more radical improvements made to the car. Despite being in a far higher state of tune than their European relatives the JDM STIs pack an impressive list of features such as a new Twin scroll Turbo, equal length manifold and the optional Driver controlled centre diff.
