just thought I'd let you know that just got back from hoooning around Brands indy circuit in the WRX 03 and had a BLAST! only one other scooby.

WRX held its own very well and the only thing was mucho understeer but a great car and a great day - warped discs and fried tyres aside.

sorry no real point to this thread but feeling pumped!

actually how about less than 100 miles to a tank of optimax - trying hard enough do you think????

Might not be warped disks....pad transfer is rather common and has the same symptoms.

Ok - thanks for that as I was a bit surprised they had warped. The symptons are Judder through the pedal when braking hard at high speed but low speed or more gentle braking no judder or much less apparent in any event.

What is pad transfer? thanks for the advice. What can I do about it? I had noticed that the wheel balance weights have come off too - could this cause the problem also?

steve g - it was about 220 quid with two drivers (so we split cost) plus 2.5 tanks of optimax and some octane booster. But then some extras including track tuition and a CD of high quality pics (about 20) taken during the day. 8 or 9 sessions of 20 minutes throughout day which was quite enough I can tell you.

A great day, warm and nice to see what and how the car handles at the limit in relative safety.
