does anyone know anything about them ? who fits them? etc

 

I've got a gearbox lock on mine - I can't remember who it was fitted by as the previous owner had it installed. I'll see if I can find out who tonight.

The gearbox lock is an essential bit of kit. It is supplied and fitted by Subaru main dealer.
The lock works so as you can dead lock the gearbox in reverse. Also it would be pretty damm hard to cut the thing off once locked as it is all tucked under the car.
I sleep at night knowing that for some shanker to take my car, they either toe it away or drive it up the road in reverse.
