Question MY03/4 rear seats

Anyone know how to remove or tighten the rear seat backs. My offside one has developed a rattle. It moves when you move the seat back. Its the only thing I can think of for the rattle coming from the rear offside of my STI.
Its not the suspension like what I have read in other threads.

Cheers
Yorkie

I have exactly the same problem on my new MY04 STI.

Similarly looking for "rattle-killing" advice!

Don't you need to remove the seat bases to tighten the seat backs up?

How do you remove the seat bases? I have had a good scout around in the boot and there is no obvious access to the seat backs. My offside one definately rattles on its mountings but how to tighten the damn thing remains a mystery
At first I thought it was the seatbelt mountings. Tried wedging that with rubber - no joy. As some people may remember on here Yorkie doesn't give up when it comes to rattles - I found and cured the B pillar rattle on the MY01/2 WRX, but this one so far has me licked

Two bolts on the front of the bottom seat, then push it back and lift to unhook it. Then you can access the bolts for the back seats.

Also, open the boot and as if you could see with your Joe 90 eye's look at the top of the back seats from inside the boot - theres a few nuts that hold the seats to the back. Use a clean spanner - I speak from experience.......and a cleaning cloth! :-(
