Default subaru to cut spare prices

It was stated a couple of months ago that subaru dealerships were going to be halving the cost of their spares. This would lead to cheaper servicing and lessen insurance premiums. Has any body found this to be true or was it another miscalculation by the motoring press

They may have cut prices, but certainly labour rates have gone up as my local dealer confirmed.

I think around 500 product lines were cut by upto 56%. However, many of these were parts such as bumpers, wings etc. This was in an attempt to reduce the rising premiums people pay on their insurance & at times pricing Subaru's out the market.

Though many parts such as lamda's, MAF's etc have been raised by around 5%...........it isn't as clear cut as an overall drop in all parts....
