Prodrive Auction - Le Mans Ferrari
Colin McRae's autographed seat belt pads are up for grabs in the third on-line charity auction hosted by Prodrive. The pads were fitted to the seat belts of the former world rally champion's Ferrari 550 Maranello for his first taste of the historic 24-hour Le Mans race. Colin McRae and team-mates Rickard Rydell and Darren Turner finished third in the GTS category.
Also up for auction as a separate lot is a gear cluster from car 66 driven by Tomas Enge, Peter Kox and Alain Menu. The gears are taken from the second of the Prodrive-prepared Ferraris having completed the gruelling 24-hour race.
The proceeds from this month's auction will be donated to the Motorsport Safety Fund, a charity, which helps to improve safety standards at motorsport events and assists with the purchase of rescue equipment.
June's auction saw Petter Solberg's autographed driving gloves fetch a final bid of £225 which Prodrive will donate to the Serpent Rescue Unit.
The auctions will run throughout the remaining months of 2004 with bidding closing at 12.00 noon on the last working day of each month.

Thanks, Nick.
