They aren't to happy about it especially in blue, in their world you could be done for trying to impersonate a police car, why they think you'd want to is beyond me!...

Depends on what's blue.
- Blue lens but the indicators shine orange/amber is OK.
- Blue LEDs is a no-no. No blue lights allowed. Also won't pass an MOT like that.

And don't forget to fit the matching blue LED washer jets for that 'complete' look

In honesty why fit something that is illegal and can only give a valid reason for the plod to pull you over??...just hope that the rest of your car is legal if (and when) you do get pulled.

I think you will find they are illegal....i am sure it is in the 'Construction and Use Act'
Only white and/or yellow side and headlights to front and red side lights to rear are allowed(this includes any add on 'marker' lights).
Red indicators to rear and White indicators at the front are allowed on pre 1964 cars.

I had some in (courtesy of Fizz-daz ), they look good in the day, but at night the whole (seperate on a classic) sidelight unit is VERY blue - who cares what plod thought, it doesn't match my red car !!!

They'd be considered white IMO. I've got similar on my AX GT, came free with the vision plus headlight bulbs so it seems ungrateful to not fit them.

Though the point I was trying to make is that indicators have to shine yellow/orange/amber and not some other colour.

I assumed you meant indicators flashing amber but he did ask about sidelights.

lol @ ****** lights.

Incidentally - the philips blue side lights are about as blue as one of Mary Whitehouse's jokes...

Agree with messiah about the Philips BlueVision bulbs. Mine still look noticibly yellow compared to the main headlights. A bit rubbish really.

Bollocks! So he did! That'll teach me to read things through before jumping in 'helpfully'. In theory as long as the light is white (though maybe with a blue rinse) it'll be OK. Obviously blue lights just give the police an excuse to pull you over.
