Should I swop a 3 year old P1 for 1 year old Renault V6 255 Sport. Haven't done the test drive yet, but I'm tempted on looks alone.

Anyone done this and any thoughts?

For the same cash as a rather heavy clio you could get yourself a new (MY04) JDM STi which whould be much more fun

is that the version 1 or 2? if its the 1 dont even bother there death traps!!! + scoobys are far more fun and have such a cult following cant say that about renault lol.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you

Whatever you do don't buy one from a dealer. 27k is the list price (I got my local dealer down to 26k) but I can guarantee you you can get one a lot cheaper off the internet (completely the same car as a dealer, 3 yrs warranty, not an import etc)

As for the V6 255, I took one out a couple of weeks ago - the car itself is superb. The engine and exhaust note are fantsastic. Like yourself, I was drawn to the car purely by the way it looks.

The only downside is the impracticality - you would struggle to get the weekly shop in FFS !

If you are serious about one I wonder if we could get a discount for ordering 2 ? You never know it might be worth asking...
