hi all
could some 1 please help me with the wiring
coming from the sensor is 2 wires 1 red and 1 black
the loom that plugs into the kl box has a brown wire and a black wire
and a red wire and a black wire
should the 2 reds and two blacks be joined and the brown and black wires pick up 12volts and earth
http://www.stefanostadal.homedns.org...ods_gauges.htm
coz this site says brown/black is knock sensor
and red/black is +12volts/earth

You are correct that black is -ve and red is +12v..

However, the other wires should go to the sensor - did you not get one with the KL ?

This is an additional 'microphone' sensor, which should be bolted to the engine block - ....

no - its as per stefans site and the instructions ... using the pic below... Take the red to a switched live (on with ignition). Take the black and brown (that are paired together in the heat shrunk section) to either side of the sensor, using the two little metal connectors that came with the kit (on picture) NB: You will want to pass the wires through the rubber shroud first. Then take the remaining black cable to earth....

Hope this helps,

Mark
