Why the happy face?
Well I was towing a trailer with a Caterham on it

After the unfortunate demise of a friends Jag XJS V12 we needed a new new tow car, so I volunteered my car.
I'm very impressed with the cars ability to tow, and it is very stable (err if say we were in another country I could say it was fine at 85 mph )
Noticable differences over the Jag were, the noise level was a bit higher, and the fact you were towing was more noticable as the suspension is quite a bit stiffer on the Scoob, so you noticed the road surface more.

The thing that really annoyed me was, people not moving over from the middle lane on motorways. When your not allowed to use the outside lane middle lane drivers REALLY annoy you. Had to resort to using the outside lane once or twice as I was getting very annoyed.

Hi, paul is there any chance you could post some info on the tow bar as i've got a STI 2 and a jet-ski but i'm a bit concerned as to what the car would look like with the tow bar on it also where did you get it and what's the cost if you don't mind me asking any info would be great as i want to get out on the water again. cheers Rik

No problem the bar is a Witter and cost £200 fitted, i was quoted £175.00 but due to the way the number plate is mounted it took them a bit longer to fit, in fact he didn't like doing the job

It was fitted by RP towing in High Wycombe, I was quoted a cheaper price (£150) by a mobile fitter but they couldn't get it done in time. I'll get a pic and email it to you when I can. But it is a very neat fitting and you can remove almost all of the visible parts in a couple of minutes.

Why remove the visible parts? I just find it winds up the people you've just beaten that little bit more when they see you have a towbar

I am a 5dr as well
