The clue is in the title of the post

*Used Car Buyer magazine *

WR1 is still classed as a new car, and I doubt if any have been sold on second hand yet.

If they're including imports, what about the S201, S202 and Spec C. Very limited numbers I know but still production models.

Why dont they break the feature into two seperate ones. One for UK market only models and one for JDM models. Just a thought.

I was amazed to see one for sale on Autotrader! A private seller who wants £29,999 - the car has done 1,250 miles, but I can imagine it's been thrashed to death...!!!

Considering most owners on here :

1)worry about which make of petrol to use.
2)park in two car parking spaces when they go shopping to avoid dents in the doors.
3)spend £60 on a pot of wax
4)spend 10 minutes waiting for the turbo to cool down before switching the engine off.
5)Get upset about getting cat footprints on their car.

I doubt it would have been thrashed to death

All good points, but I just cannot believe that he/she has owned the car for a mere 1,250 miles without thrashing the crap out of it. He/she would be a very unlucky person if he/she spent the first 1,000 miles running it in and not going over 4,000 revs, only to have the 1,000 mile service and have to sell it 250 miles later!

I could be wrong but I bet he/she has taken the opportunity to buy the car, thrash the **** off it for 1,250 miles only off-load onto somebody who's desperate to have one, but can't get one through a dealer. If the plan was to have some fun and then sell it on at list price, why would he/she bother to be gentle with it?

Anyway, how do you know it was bought by one of the mollycoddling owners from this bbs?

Mark (a UK MY00 mollycoddler with a flamesuit on!!)

Scooby Mad.

Since when have you been an expert on the used car market?
People on the magazine have 'done their homework' and are very well aware of all models of the Impreza. One member of the editorial team for example, has owned five Scoobs, both UK and import, since 1996 and even contributed to a well known book on the Impreza.
Used Car Buyer magazine have selected the cars THEY wish to shoot. And as experts on the used car market they have selected cars they believe currently make excellent used purchases. This does not mean other models have not been considered, or that they are not good buys. I hope this clarifies the situation. Do you own one of these models?

Chobham is in Surrey, sort of between Knaphill and Windlesham. I think the nearest town is Woking and the next village is Valley End. I lived round there until i was about 7. Useless bit of info for u.

I'll get my coat!
