Can anybody give me any info / advice of buying 2nd hand subaru's in japan please ?

Either 2nd Hand or Damaged.

Well a mate of mine could do with a road car GC8 version 7 road car to use for a rally car. He needs a shell, all panels etc.

But he doesnt want to spend the world getting one !

i presume you've thought about the reputable breakers like

they do a fully panaled new age car, dont know what they charge though.
