The Spec C holds the quickest out of the box 1/4 time and is the fastest production subaru impreza they have made to date (13 sec dead@108mph, subaru figures!)
The version 4 type R is also up there, another quick car out of the box, you will be looking at these types of cars as being the quickest really.

None are remotely quick in a straight line out the box IMHO, all would get into trouble against run of the mill high power German saloons at high speed, Scoobies are more about all weather grip than outright speed. The reasonable quarters are due to grip in the slow parts of the race not raw power.

Are you sure about that John?
Some guy where i work has a nice E46 M3, he drives it quite quickly most of the time, unfortunately its not quite as quick as my pretty standard (except the STi panel filter) car
Not the first E46 M3 to feel the rath and probably not the last

not even "remotely" quick??????
i won't bore you with the cars that i've anhialated in my "slow" Scoob, but some are very fast, very expensive machines....
No-one got a definative list of scoob 1/4 miles then???

Both the Spec C and the S202 are lightweight versions, the wr1 being a heavier car will potentially be slower and also has longer gearing in 5th and 6th.
The S202 is going to have similar figures to my car (which are 300bhp and 310+ lbs of torque with an STi panel filter) but the figures given are 13 dead at 108mph, should be for the MY03 Spec C (subaru's own figures) so possability of getting slightly more out of it
I know on my car, its the in gear flexability that you really notice, given some of the figures ive seen for the wr1 it is a quicker in gear car by quite some margain.

Well, if we are talking about Subaru figures then so far we have:
1) WR1 12.8 s @ 110 mph
2) Spec C 13.0 @ 108 mph
3) 22B 13.7 @ 102 mph
4) P1 13.9 @ 104 mph
These figures may vary slightly between sources, but I've put the ones that turned up most consistently.
Sorry Tony.

When I told my wife about my quarter times she seemed unimpressed that I had taken only about 2.5 seconds off a standard car's time Improvements in time to distance always make all your mods look rubbish Time to speed is more impressive
