Default Decisions!!!???

My (recently returned in pristine condition) WRX which i have on contract hire is due to go back at the end of August. My big decision is do i buy it off them (I should get it for approx £12500) or order a brand new one (in white )

Current WRX spec:-
2002 sept 52 plate
36,000 miles (end of august)
Tracker monitor
Morrette headlights

I have also have had eibach spingsfitted since recieveing the car and will be sent back with it as it is not worth removing them cost wise.

The car is like new inside and out (since returning from the insurance)

So is £12500 a good price, or should i just take the hit and buy a new one (should get one from dealer for £18,600 + £600 for tracker + £300 for springs to bring it to a similiar spec as what i have now).

If you thrashed the gut out of it, get a new one but if you drove it like an old lady it would be a hard to turn down.

I am sure that my local dealer is selling 2002 bugeye (I assume yours is a bugeye) WRX's for about £15,000 with about half the mileage. They are selling the new 2003 blobeyes for about £18000.

In short, the £12500 seems like a reasonable price, but it depends if you want a lower mileage/newer shape/STi upgrade.......

Holdcroft in Newcastle-under-lyme: (click on Midlands, then onto the dealer (the top one), then at the bottom of page click on proven used cars)

http://www.subaru.co.uk/IMGGB/WWW/Su...7?Opendocument

They currently have a couple of 2002 WRXs for £15,000, a 2002 STi for just under £19,000, and a 2003 Sti for just under £22,000. They do not have any 2003 WRXs listed (and there were none on the forecourt whilst I was there earlier), but I have definitely seen a couple there over the past few months (I know, because I realised I could have saved myself a couple of grand by waiting to get mine after 6 months rather than new!!).

Anyway, their stock is always changing at the moment, so worth giving them a bell if you are anywhere near (or any other dealer, because I am sure they are all in the same boat).
