Pro's & Con's JDM or UK Sti8/9?
Just trying to make up my mind on these two, not sure of the between the two which is best but I need a decent warranty(3yrs). I do know the JDM has 310bhp as opposed to the UK's 265bhp, and the UK car has trakstar.
Has anyone diven a PPPSTi8 and also the JDM? If so what are the differences?
Thanks

I have a 2003 JDM STi and when I was comtemplating whether to go UK vs JDM I used the japanese subaru website to get all the details I needed. I used a translator (babelfish or something it's called).
I quickly found that the JDM is so different to the UK that the IM could can work towards a JDM through this model's life. Low and behold they have just released the WR1 with DCCD which the JDM car already has.
Oh and adverts saying they are 310bhp are talking out of their ar$e. Mine with a better flowing exhaust and re-map did 321bhp at Well Lane. I would imagine it would have been 280/290bhp in standard form.
I have seen many others on here rolling road theirs and they have done pretty much around 280/290bhp.
If you get a UK you will end up wanting to mod it which will conflict with your warranty.
A JDM does not have such issues (or has a warranty that is worthless anyway).
Mine is a year old and I have had no problems with the car to speak of.
Damian.
