Default Hayward and Scott Centre pipe 03 WRX

From what I read this item can gain about 10bhp - is this right?

Where is the best place to get one from and approx how much are they.

Are they hard to fit - do they throw and fault codes?

Thanks

Simon.

there are 2 centre pipes on the 03 wrx, the order from the turbo back is down pipe, cat pipe, centre, backbox.

The centre has a resonator and no cat, changing just this will have very little difference. to gain perfomance you need to change the downpipe or cat pipe. changing both would get the most performance. and change the back box as well.

have a look on
www.scoobyworld.co.uk

they have a good diagram of the newage car in the exhaust section.

I got mine from scoobyworld.co.uk, I don't think it will add 10% as the cat in the downpipe is the major restriction in the exhaust system. The short mid-pipe has a cat in it and a hole for the EGT sensor. The long pipe has a resonator to cut down noise.

wonder if changing the resonator pipe would invalidate you warranty, what if an aftermarket item didnt have the resonator in it??????
