Hi all

I'm a little depressed to say the least as on friday night my scooby lunched it's gearbox!

I have managed to locate a very nice man who has a gearbox and will fit it for me at a very good price but I need to get my car from my house to him.

It is about a half hour to forty min journey so I don't want to tow it. So I'm after a trailer.

I live not far from silverstone and need to get the car to Banbury. Does anyone own a trailer that I may be able to borrow (obviously can work out some thankyou gift ) Or know of anywhere that I can hire one for reasonable cost?

you should easily be able to hire one from somewhere - call ur local garage they'll know... I did this when my clio blew.. The trailer should be 20quid or something - not a lot.

problem may be begging/borrowing a car to tow it with.. I was lucky, but if you have to rent one of those too then it's gonna cost you..

Alternatively make the AA do it - If you've already called once, use someone elses card

Oh, and make sure u put the ramps the right way up )

 

Vehicle should be fine (dad's 5.7ltr V8 chevy silverado should do the job ) It's just the trailer I'm lacking. Have spoken to just about everyone local and they're all fully booked!
