WR1 230 mile cost £71, Killed a TT on the way
Good Morning and what a great weekend.
I do hope everyone had the oppertunity to get out and test how sticky you can get your tyres.
For me the weekend started Sat morning, making my way to see the family, 60th Bday.
It's 230 door to door, via some of the best B roads the foss-way can offer.
Trust me to leave it to late Saturday, catching every man and his dog out doing 40mph,,,,, but sunday was another story.........
Filled up at 7.00am, so I starting with a full tank,
my first pit stop was on the M1 by the M18 was £33.
Exercising my right foot every oppertunity I got, which at this time on a sunday morning when all the old timers are still in their coffinswas great.
The real fun started at J21 M1 when I get off.
There's a poor little boy in his TT convertable with what I could see was a right hunnie next to him,,,,,,, how things took a turn for the worst, for the TT...... the story goes.
SCOOBY WR1 KICK **** BIG TIME :>)))))))))
It was nothing, but the look on his facing when I dropped it from 3rd to second was we come of the roundabout, mashed my right foot to the carpet, held on as I was taking him on the outside while sidways, a quick flip of the clutch and in to 3rd and dashed in to the distance.
I gave him the oppertunity to catch up, fare play to the guy he gave the thumbs up and my day was just getting better. I know he could have given me hiw women, I must have forgot to tell that was the prize for winning.
Soon the foss-way was on me and off the TT went, time for some B roads and fun fun fun.
I'm sorry if you was on the recieving end of me blasting past you some time over the weekend between Swindon and Redcar, quiet roads, just the 2 caravans and a WR1 eating up the road as it goes.
Got back in no time and filled up at Highworth Shell, this time £38, so the whole trip back was a massive £71. But the fun factor out weighed the cost big time.
I just wanted to share the experiance.
Before you all get on your soap boxes, it was early, clear roads the best time to take the car out for a play. actually thats wrong, any time is a good time.

she did have a good cool down, while I started to clean all the bloody fly's of the car.
I wish there was an easy way to deal with the remains of dead critters.
I am thinking of getting a turbo timer fitted
had one on my last car, cool little thing, it worked out just how hard the card was been driven, how hot. so you could take you keys out of the car and the timer would keep the engine running while it cooled down.
No ££££££ so that has to wait.

when I was running her in it was only 4000rpm, that was now over a week ago.
things since then have changed, I've been testing the full range and everything that the Scooby can offer.
Craig, it was in the morning on Saturday, about 10:30 ish. Did not see a wave :>(
Ben, I was told it's a 10 day turn around once the car has been reg, so I guess you should have your baby any time in the next week or so. But things could change at any time.
One top tip, get a harness fitted in the BOOT for the miss's, you'll never here her back there not with that :>)))))))) great burble you getfrom the flat 4.

Strangely both these plates are stil listed as available by the DVLA at www.dvla-som.co.uk and retail at £499
Hopefully it is their mistake and not yours.
