As mentioned in previous messages i need a model report to get my type r through its sva.The car is registered a 97 but if i can find out it was manufactured in 96 then i wont need a report which will help me cause there hasnt even been one made for it yet.I have tried all local dealers but some just cant be bothered and others say they cant find out, anyone any ideas?

hi mate i dont think that will matter because vosa will only go on what is written on the jap deregistration,it doesnt matter if it was made in 96 i dont think that counts mate sorry.

Ah, this is where it gets complicated, i believe that if the car doesnt have a model report it cannot be run on the uk roads, i think there may be a model report for an sti 4 but not a 3 and below.

If you just want to confirm the year of manufacture look at the seatblet tags behind the pillar trim. They should have the year printed on them, this should correspond to the year the car was made. AFAIK.
