Z4's bad grip around bends..?
.....don't know much about these BMWs, but had one up my backside today.
I was most surprised when i left it for dead by a big margin when i floored it around a couple of bends and one roundabout...but blimey they can't half make it up on a straight line!
Anyway, i don't think it helped when i waved him goodbye in my mirror as i went into the corner. I think i may have upset him? So when he caught up with me again i slowed to let him past....although i have no doubt he could have done that easily without my help?
Anyway, i shouldn't rise to the bate...what was he trying to prove?
For that matter, what was i trying to prove?
However, one thing that still never ceases to amaze me about the Impreza is its unbelievable grip around bends.
What lies under the bonnet of a Z4..?.....nippy little things, but there cetainly ugly IMO.

there is two engine options at the mo' (i think) a 3ltr and a 2.5. the 2.5 is a nice pose but the 3ltr is pretty quick and i thought it handle fine once it settled into a bend. switchbacks and stuff can make it feel too hussled though (if u know what i mean!)

And on the flip side, I got left behind on the corners by a peugeot 306gti-6 or something.
I just bottled it in the corner, as its a slip road corner I know well and I have my own internal speed limit for it. Clearly my limit was too low!
I'm now definitely going on a course to see what my car can really handle, so it doesn't happen again
