Shame

SAPMotorparts.co.uk do a good deal on aftermarket pads and disks, front and rear.

Rears - £15.60 each disk, pads £9.80. So both disks and a set of rear pads al for just over £40!!

I got discs from my motorfactors. They were £25 each (Apec). About £25 for the front pads as well. These will probably be exactly the same as Subaru use anyway but they'll charge you double!!

Subaru Discs are £61 each - not bad really as they last well over 50,000miles!

Subaru Front Pads for 4-Pot are a ridiculous £118 even if they last me 50,000miles its STILL a STUPID price!

Its all pretty straightforward, its even got the instructions on how to change the pads in the pads in the box.Probably have to take the calipers off to change the disks though(i havnt had to change my disks on my scoob yet-so its only a guess)

easy

Thumbs up Front disk replacement... Hints

easy
Depending on whether 2 or 4 pot calipers, but generally the same!

Unbolt the caliper from hub ( 2 bolts ). Remove caliper off disk and rest it on something so flexi brake hose not strained.
Pull off disk.
Put on new disk
replace calipers and rebolt.
(may be easier to use a couple of wheel nuts to hold disk to hub so can easier align caliper / pad gap over disk! )

You may have to space out the pads if old disc was very worn, so push the pads back into the caliper to make space to fit over new disk.

Bolt caliper back on, voila!

If you were upgrading from 2 pots to 4 pot calipers / disks, then one other step would be to swap over the back plates ( 3 small bolts ) so they fit the larger disks.

Hope it all goes well.

I just bought Apec pads for my MY00 Impreza and the factors charged me £30 for both?!

Do you know what model No. they are? mine are No.698 and are supposedly also able to fit Nissan ZXs. Don't sound to right to me so can you confirm model no.?
