As long as you use genuine makers parts, and a VAT registered garage, they have to honour any warranty claims.

Note that there is no mention of Subaru and also that there is some ambiguity over what happens in years 2 and 3 of the warranty.

I have an 03 car that is just ready for it's 10,000 mile 1 year service and Subaru, so far, have ignored my letters asking if I can get it serviced at my local ex-Subaru dealership without impacting upon my warranty and Subaru Assistance. The local dealer lost the franchise after I bought the car.

I want them to service the car and in view of the way I have been treated have no intentions of buying another Subaru. Any company that can't even reply to a letter asking a simple question is not getting any more of my cash, I'd hate to be approaching them with a big problem. The fact that they also seem to dump dealers at random just reinforces my views.
