Question help birdpoo!!

hi, i've been a bit lazy recently and haven't washed my car in ages. as you can see from the photos it was a bad idea not to wash off the birdpoo which has eaten through my paint.

the 2 areas are just over 50p sized.

what's the best way to treat these short of a respray? are chipsticks etc any good or where to get touch up paint, i seem to remember halfords don't have a subaru chip/touch up paint set. or would the best plan be damage limitation and covering with some sort of wax or glase?

cheers matt

ps i'll obviously be putting my airgun to good use to prevent any more probs with the local rooks.

Matt - Bloody eck the birds must be on the Vindaloo round your way matey....I must admit that as I park my car at a seaside resort (where I work) I am always finding bird ****e on the paint/windows....always wash it off as soon as I get home. If I were you I'd take your car to a bodywork specialist to see what they can do cos that looks a bit nasty How about the mobile chips away people ?? may be worth a try

Waterbased paints & corrosive guano (bird sh*t) are a bad combination but the area affected seems quite large & it will probably be a respray im afraid!

meguiers paint cleaner will get rid of that had something very similar on my dads focus..

got it out then just polished over the top for protection again..

I think it's step 1,2& 3 your after

step 1 paint cleaner
step 2 the wax
step 3 carnuba for the shine

cost is around £20 for all the shine after you've done it will be tremendous
