Hello Guys
I just said goodbye to my Subaru Impreza WRX STI IV Type R today. I had it for 2 years and it has been great fun.
I would like to say thank you to the people here who helped me during that time (with various strange happenings with the car).
The thing that has amazed me most during two years is the amount of Impreza's I now see on the road -- it's shocking! From seeing perhaps one a week, it's now four or five a journey.
If you are interested, I just bought an almost new Toyota Supra TT.
So, if anyone is near Sevenoaks and gets waved at by a black Supra driver -- it's just me getting all confused!
Steve.

On a scooby holiday?
Good luck - I'm t'other side 7oaks but'll keep an eye open. Sometimes get confused and wave from other half's Yellow Bravo HGT - hey, this could spread - everyone waves to everyone
Beef, That's a bit much - touting for members on Scoobynet

He will have a fair bit of smooooth fun, until it rains, then he will really start to enjoy rear wheel drive lardmobiles at their (ahem) best!
Can I recommend Racelogic Traction control to help keep you (new supra convert) on the black stuff with the shiney side up?

Hi Guys
The Supra is an interesting car. The main reason that I bought one is that I've always wanted one. You know one of those sad childhood things and I can now afford one (and I managed to persuade my wife that her car can be the family one!).
I liked my Subara alot. And I will probably buy another one in two years time. Hoping that all the "new shape" pictures are faked ....
Supra in comparision to my Subaru:
Likes:
1/ It's a more "beautiful" car. The Impreza looks as though it means business -- but not in an elegant way. Beauty is as always in the eye of the beholder of course...
2/ Feels more robust and better put together. The Subara was a bit tacky inside and had a "Oh my God I've just breathed on it and it's dented" feel.
3/ It's a bit more peaceful to drive when I'm not in the mood. The gearing of the Supra means that it can be more gentle when I'm not thrashing around country lanes -- six gears is great! (I'm sure the UK Subaru is fine -- the STI Type R is very short geared).
Dislikes:
1/ It's no where near as "throwable" into corners as the Subaru. The Supra feels a bit dodgy and if you misbehave too much you are in trouble.
2/ It really is small inside! I've just got too used to having big back seats and a great boot. Even weekly shopping is a challenge in spacial physics....
3/ Not quite as quick on the back roads. The Supra has *much* more power from about 60mph onwards than the Impreza. But not as quick if you are hacking round country lanes speeding up and braking (plus point 1/ above).
So overall the Supra feels a little more refined, but then it should at £10K more, but doesn't have the low down raw power and throwability of the Impreza.
