Corrosion Warranty checks - are they worth it?

Corrosion Warranty checks - are they worth it?
Whats people's views on the standard Subaru body corrosion warranty that comes as standard with a MY03 WRX (and other) scoobys?
Is it worth paying (quite a bit of dosh each year) to get the corrosion checks carried out each year?
I value the mechanical warranty on the car and would like to retain that for obvious reasons, but since the corrosion warranty only covers rust from the inside out (ie it doesn't cover scratches, stone chips etc etc) is it really worth paying to get the inspections done each year?
Thanks,
Chris

I remember a dealer saying on here a while ago that they didn't bother doing them unless asked. It also didn't affect any resale value of the car. They had also never had a claim under the corrosion warranty.

AFAIK it's checked after the 1st year, 3rd and 5th, so it's not every year. Also, they do reapply waxoil in various places. Price also varies greatly. I was quoted £125 1st, but a few calls later got it down to £47. Probably not worth it in the long run, especially for those who change cars regularly.

I had the first one done and was very disappointed with the quality, the underseal was applied directly onto the mud under the wheel arches. There was also Waxoil everywhere on the paintwork, which took ages to get off without damage.
It's down to the dealer or body shop who's doing the work, this dealer won't be getting their hands on it again.

had mine done last week, great workmanship, applied underbody wax and cavity wax very well, none on paintwork and wheel arches nice and even, made sure no crap on car, washed it before i took it to them, so no muck on it, paid 90 for the whole job, so not bad for warranty peace of mind, and you only have to have it done on the 1st, 3rd and 5th year.

Had mine done a week or so ago for £85 ... not checked the quality of the application yet . Cost is spread over 2 years so I suppose it's not a bad deal to maintain the body work warranty.

Dear Mr Smith,
Thank you for your enquiry. A 10,000 mile service on a 2003 WRX costs around £170 inc parts, labour and VAT.
We also offer a free loan car for the day, a whilst you wait service (approx 2 hours) or free local collection / delivery.
As you may know, the car is due it's first body service on it's first birthday. This keeps your body work warranty
valid and costs approx £160 inc
If required we can carry this out on the same day, but would need the car for the
full day.
If you have any questions, please just reply to this email or call Ken or myself on 01483 283424.
Regards
