I would take it along to a bodyshop and get them to buff the bonnet, Should'nt cost much for cash. I had to do this once after a trip on a ferry, it was parked at the front of the boat and sea water got onto the car, it was a hot day so it had baked on. Could'nt get it off the bonnet, the rest of the car was okay. So just got my local bodyshop to give it a quick buff.....Good as new

Use a better wash & wax, i used turtle wax and it did the same. ALWAYS dry your car with a leather after washing it down.
Has anyone tried Turtle Wax Extreme wash & wax, it seems much better than the standard crap.
