Yes, just up the road from me. Apparently clipped a Jeep coming around the long sweeping bend, rolled into a pole and a row of houses Road shut for about 7 hours.

Why do the press alway have to mention the make of car when it's a Subaru. It used to be the same with 'Sierra Cosworth'.
If it were any other car they would just say '2 cars collided today on........'

Sad loss. He was a very close friend of a fellow Scoobynet Member and I know will be missed very much.
For the record it was a Blue 02 (STI07 i think)
My heart goes out to his family and friends.
RIP

Last Night at approximately 2 am My very close friend Gary Kemp sadly died along with the passenger in his Sti7.
He was giving his work colleague a lift home from work, having finished a night shift.
He was in his late 30's, and a few years ago had major heart surgery. This only increased his lust for life. He was a keen biker, extreme snowboarder, and a keen motor enthusiast.
He was one of the nicest guys you could meet (as they always seem to be). He would do anything for you, and was always laughing everything off.
I know even now he will be looking down on me - telling me to shut up and sort it out.
He lived life to the full every day, and will be deeply missed.
He had 2 brothers and a sister, he was married to his long time girlfiriend and they all looked upto him with great affection.
He had no children, but was adored by his nephews and nieces.
There will be a large hole left in many peoples lives for a long time.
Death is always sad, Sorry I f I have brought you all down, but I am truly devastated.
I feel like I also have lost a brother.
I didnt know the passenger. She was female, and I believe may have had children. My Heart also goes out to her family and friends alike.
I have to stop there as I cant see what I am typing any more.
Thankyou all for your concern.
Steve

It was only recently that I realised that I used to know Gary.
He was one of a number of like minded friends who drove performance Mk1 and 2 escorts in and around Maidstone. it was a friendship like may that I have from SN, but unique in the fact that we had no internet then, and were willing to travel to each other houses to change an engine or replace a gearbox.
For a long time he was after me to sell him my number plate as it started KMP. (Kemp) Ill always remember him for that.
He was a very competant driver and could rear steer his car as good as anyone else. I dont really like following 'bad brakers' at speed but you always could trust Gary to 'feel' the road and respond appropriately and never -ever stupidly.
I wish I had a picture of him to show, but we didn't have digicams and the like back then and so the best I can do is a 'brace' of Escorts, including KMP. Im sure it would have made him smile.
