Needed to be said IMO. What's the point of structured forums if eejits like this are going to wholesale ignore it and post everything in General?

Irony is that he'd have more chance of getting a quick answer if he posted in the right place, and no need whatsoever to btt it every five minutes.

Hi
I posted in general because their were so many people viewing this forum.
Sorry if it doesnt suit you.
I thought scoobynet was here to help owners?
I normally post in the correct forums, but I needed a quick answer.
Thanks for your help!

And that's supposed to be an excuse? What does the number of people viewing each forum have to do with the likelihood of receiving an answer to a technical question?

Scoobynet is here to help everyone, not pandour to your whims and laziness. The forums are structured the way they are for a reason - to keep discussions about a specific subject in a specific place.

Where did you get the idea that spamming "General" with off-topic posts would assist you in gaining a quick answer. As your experience has ably proved, posting in the correct forum would have got you where you wanted to be far more quickly, and without getting up anyone's nose.

greasemonkey, it would help considerably if it bothers you so much - to perhaps RTM the threads that are not in correct forum and they can be moved to correct one

Thanks

In this case RK/Puff, there would have been little point moving this thread to the correct forum, as the OP had already started one there. It did occur to me to ask for this one to be deleted, but OTOH it'll only stand a chance of dissuading others from doing the same thing if it's left here.

I'm sure, from a moderator's point of view, you'd agree that General would be a far easier place to read if posts like this were confined to the correct forums, no?
