Craig Hardman got a fair better than that in a grey STi 5. Think it was 3.7 or 3.2
It was featured in one of the jap mags.

Craigs is the fastest timed one iirc as said before..
I suspect if Rannoch timed his then 3's would be achievable..
But you dont want guesses.. Dont know what mine would do it in due to 6spd, but around 3 secs at a guess..

Whats the point of 0-60 surely its 50-70 and the exit speed from bends ect. even a chimp could be trained to go fast in a straight line!!!!!!!You know you are doing good when the rudder is smoking.

Its actually very easy to much up a 0-60 sprint. Results being either bogging down by letting the clutch go too early, or slipping it so much you go nowhere.
Both equally embarrasing

Yes 0-60 is pointless the real world, epsecially with the peformance of cars these days it doesn't give anywhere near the complete picture, but its always benchmark and can be interesting (its their car, ouch) to watch people launching to get their best times.
"In theory", even with a genuine 600-700bhp, the fastest Scoob with road legal tyres and a full perfect drag suspension setup and launch "would be" about 2.7-2.8secs. It not possible to get faster than this when using road legal tyres becuase of the physics of grip, and even the very fastest "road legal/street tyres" Skylines and Evos can not get any better times (hence I have this in my theory formulas i've setup).

- 1.9 sec.
Last Year Cobb tuning USA timed "their car" at 1.9 secs to 60 at the drag strip.
They also won their motorsport series last year too, consistently beating (battering) the "prodrive" cars.
I'm sure you'll find more on their website www.cobbtuning.com
Cheers...

If you put his times from York in here it comes up with 3.01 for the 0-60

I know of a bloke who can do 0 - 60 in 1.8 seconds, but not in a road legal car....well my wife knows him and sells him stuff for his business, and she tells me all about it.
His name is Pat Doran, and he was GB Rallycross champion in 2002 and runner up in 2003. For those who haven't seen it (it is on men & motors sometimes) Rallycross is about 10 laps of a racing circuit with about half the lap on the dirt. Oh and about 20 cars going around at the same time. Absolute mayhem.
The Super class allows unlimited power unlike WRC which is limited to about 300bhp, and Pat drives a Ford RS 200 with 800bhp; very low weight, 4WD & sequential gearbox means a low 0 - 60, and it goes round corners too. Unfortunately the car is getting a bit old and knackered, and he lost last years championship due to blowing the engine up too many times, and hasn't done well this year for the same reason - only last week he had to retire with a broken drive shaft.
