Pete, how old is your P1, mine has bad judder when cold, I don't really think it is acceptable. I'm not yet into my additional 2 year Subaru Warrenty, I only bought the car last month, do you think I'd have a case?

Yes you can adjust the clutch, look above your clutch pedal under the dash and you will see a small rod which gets pushed in when the pedal goes down.
IIRC the nut at the end of the rod is 12mm,if you loosen this off you then with a 6mm spanner turn the rod in either direction to adjust your biting point up or down, test it first in reverse and then make small adjustments of the rod say 1 complete turn each time and test your biting point.
When you are happy with the pedal re-tighten the 12mm locking nut and away you go.

bluenose172 definately worth trying, they will try all the excuses they can think of but keep arguing, at the end of the day alot of clutch/flywheels have been replaced under warranty so i dont see how they could not accept your claim when they have accepted alot of others!

the clutch is hydraulic therefore self adjusting the rod you are thinking of doing will only adjust when the pedal starts to push the piston in the master cylinder. you must be careful when doing this as to much one way will give you a lot of freeplay and the pedal will feel horrible, too much the other way and it will apply pressure to the clutch causing it to slip giving premature wear.
