Applying decals...stuck
Looking for a bit of help...I have aquired some vinyl decals for my MY03, but don't have a clue how to apply them.
Do I just clean the application area up and stick on, or is there something else (I'm thinking maybe they go on like those kids tatoos you have to lick).
Or maybe they iron on or something!
Can someone put me out of my misery before I wreck my car?
The vinyl is 3M Scotchcal 220 film if that's any help.
Cheers,
C

If you have any that run over door handles or panel joins, cut them cleanly with a new scalpel blade, and then soften the vinyl with a hairdryer as you wrap it round the edges of the panel/moulding lines.

Nice one GM.
I have some Trichloroethylene to clean up the area, but as the decal has a backing on it I thought maybe hot soapy water may have been required .
I'll clean it up, line it up, plonk it on and rub it good!
Cheers

Don't use trich, or soapy (i.e. detergent loaded) water, neither will do the paint any favours. Just give the car a clean with your regular car shampoo, rinse and dry thoroughly before fitting the decals.
