Default WR1 driving lamps

Please can anyone tell me if the WR1 driving lamps are fog lights or spotlights? Also are transparent protective covers available for them? In the Impreza III catalogue, they look like the H4510FE001, which are fog lamps. However no covers are shown in the catalogue or on the web site.

Spotlights. Were going to be HID, Prodrives website even said so, then they changed it and now it says conventional halogen type. The show car at Autosport show had conventional bulbs. Don't know anything else though.

As far as I know they are non HID driving lamps. I don't think there are covers available, i'm talking to my dealer about my order today so i'll ask(although the SN rumour mill is usually a few days ahead of 'official' channels)

Thanks guys

So if they're spotlights, are they connected to the main beam dipper, or are they using the fog lamp switch to the right of the steering wheel?

If its anything like the PIAA's on the RB5 then the driving lights (spots to you and me) will be connected up to the main beam via the spare foglamp switch, below and right to the steering wheel, this will enable you to select / deselect the driving lamps from the main beam if you so wish.

Cool

I did hear on here that the surrounds for the driving lights can be removed and the sti covers will clip straight in.

Only passing on what i read not sure if this is true or not.
