Angry New UK STI in red

Why didn't anyone tell me they don't make a UK STI in red?

Made myself look a right fool today at the dealer. I am sure some misinformed nitwit on here said its available in red at UK dealers. Now I cannot face going back as I argued with the sales guy to the point where he showed me a brochure with the listed colours. Talk about feel a twit. Thanks to whoever said red was available

Thumbs down

Errr, why not just go to subaru.co.uk where it has all the available colours?

WHy not look in the catalougue BEFORE you argue with Subaru salesmen.

WHy not asked the salesman, then check the catalogue and then argue??

Seems to me you went in abit feet first???

Because the people who design the cars like to sell them with excluisve colours not available on the standard range hence pissing people like you off who would like a nice colour like red so as to stand out from the see of blue sti's

allways anoyed me how they insit on having a limited range of colours on there top of the range cars

Go into a Subaru garage and they'll tell you a red STi is not available.
Go into a Ferrari garage and ask for a WR blue ferrari and they'll say "Certainly sir, 5k option".

The red is really nice, takes a good shine.

The bloke with the Golf in weird yellow: YOU DO HAVE A ROGUE CAR MY SON. The Golf is NOT available in PUKE yellow, sorry but I am informed on these matters. As to the other responses, I thought this was a responsible informative website with people who KNOW what they are talking about. Its not my fault that some tit placed false information on this site about the STI being available in red. Now its me who looks the fool and I am not happy.

You need to learn to read, bluto my old son, you're telling me there is no yellow MkV and you are correct, but mine is a MkIV. You dont get 150bhp diesels in MkV guise doh!

Would that be like the informed people who said the photoshopped picture of a STi was the new WR1....

Oh yes you do!!! Its called the Golf GTI PD150. Its got a 150bhp turbo diesel. I should know I have driven one

When you say MkV you do mean the model from 1998-2003 don't you?

FFS bluto, before you start to pick an arguement with someone, get your facts correct (I thought you might have learnt your lesson already)

MkIV Golfs (like the one I have) are 1998 - 2003/4
The latest golf is the MkV, released (in the UK) in Feb. The MkV no longer has the 1.9 150PD on the current availablity list, but a 140BHP 2.0

And if you read somewhere (or even "if you RED somewhere") that MkIV golfs were not available in Yellow and therefore all Yellow golfs are "lemons", better contact the dealership selling this car and let them know. http://www.volkswagen.net.r66.co.uk/...type=Stocklist

On the otherhand, better not as you dont have much luck in telling dealers what colour cars they do/dont produce, do you?
