Was having a discussion with some mates about a scooby... whether it was an STi or not!

I know they usually have the Pink badge, and the STi coloured pieces where the fogs usually go.....any other tell tale signs i could use to identify an STi from a WRX, across all the past imprezas?

I thought the spoiler was different - large and imposing on the STi, little and insignificant on the rest. Perhaps I was mistaken. Damn, I should have bought a WRX...

Rather large Wings & bonnet scoop like a snorkel. Big gold brake callipers, sheer speed,
sti badges etc. Mmmmmmmm

Most of the tell tale signs of an STi can be added to a WRX after, is there any way of being sure without looking under the bonnet?

Look at the rev counter. Dont know about new age but classic wrx red lines
at 7500rpm. sti is over 8000.

Only way of being sure is by checking the model code on the suspension turret. Well thats on JDM classic imports, dont know about the rest. You can find a list ot the codes at www.iwoc.co.uk.
