Question 21yrs old wants a calssic Turbo. would you reckon he'd get Insurance

my mate wants a 1999ish Turbo worth around £8k.

with tracker and 4yrs NCB how much do you reckon insurance would be?

can anyone recommend a company for insurance?

cheers guys

I'm 21, I have 2yrs NCB, keep mine on the drive and its £1800 with Tesco.

Don't even bother wasting time phoning L&V they don't do under25s on a scoob.

I had to go for 10k mileage and a voluntary excess for 250 for mine to go under 2000. I also have 3 non-fault accidents and an SP30.

I had insurance when i was 21 with 4 years NCB for £1250 FC w Tracker Monitor on MY98 UKT. Limited mileage + high voluntary excess yadda yadda... Tesco.

Although they'd quote me on a coupe Impreza 6 months ago they won't anymore. Got me worried that insurance premiums are spiralling and insuring at 23 is going to be a bigger pest than at 21.

24 year old with 3 years NCB and my gf also on the policy 22 year old.
Tesco fully comp £1900 driveway parked with tracker and cat1

next best was admiral at £2600!

Although we live near manchester so quotes seem higher than other parts of the country on most cars !!

L+V said they wont touch a scooby unless you're 30 to me the other day !!

Im 21, no one would touch me for insurance on my own name, so i had to go with my dad as named driver, i pay £1.600 with Elephant.co.uk, i wanted a scooby so bad that was the only way. My mate who is 22 had a quote on his own name with 1 years no claims and they wanted £4000.

Jeez, is it really worth it? Do you insure another car in your own name to generate no claims discount? If not you're likely to find yourself in an even bigger hole when you do eventually have to insure the car yourself...

If you simply "wanted a scooby" really bad, you'd have been better off with a Sport insured in your own name. Same comment goes to the other guy who was asking.
