Another Scooby Newbie
Hi All,
We have just ordered our 1st Scooby - An 04 WRX SL Wagon (I know a wagon sounds boring but we have a couple of dogs to cart around). The car is due to be delivered next week.
Can anyone tell me if PPP is worth havingfor the car? Also is RAC Trackstar any good or are there better trackers?

Welcome to the forum Catherine!
The PPP is definately a good idea for your new car, see if your dealer can get you a demo in a PPP car.
Trackstar is fitted to all STi cars, the Trackstar is the best system IMHO. I note that there is a new model available called the Trackstar plus which also has gps speed camera detection. http://www.ractrackstar.com

Yup PPP very worthwhile but as mentioned I reckon it's best to enjoy the car as it comes for a while first then when you feel you've got used to the power consider the PPP. I think you'll get used to the power a lot quicker than you may think though!

Cheers guys, thanks for all the replies. I have had a look at the new Trackstar Plus - it looks quite good as you can have a speed camera detector option, which according to todays Auto Express is free for the first 3 months. I think we need to find out what the dealer is suggesting he is fitting for £450.
So is there anything (good or bad that perhaps the salesman has mentioned) that we need to know about the car?

Welcome , just remember to run it in properly , then remember to let it tick over for a minute or so when you stop after a good blast (to let the oil around the turbo to cool), and let it engine warm up before booting it in the morning . Plenty of info on here try a search if you've got any specific questions as I bet it's been covered a few times before ....oh and enjoy ...oh and wave to other Scoobies

prepare yourself for appaling fuel consumption!!!
Agree with other guys, get used to your car first before you put the PPP on then you'll enjoy the difference more.

Welcome to Scoobynet
If I ever bought a new Scooby then I would definitely consider PPP. You may as well run it in and get used to it without. You can appreciate the difference if you do get it fitted then. Consult your insurance company first
Oh and BTW wagons are

had my new wagon for just over a month now & it's going in for it's 1000 service tomorrow, i will be ordering PPP as well, dealer says it will take a few weeks to come in so it will give me a bit more time to get used to it, should give me a bigger grin when the PPP goes on
