Question

Hi there,
I have been wanting to put an induction kit on my MY99 Impreza sport for ages now, and the only one i have been able to find was an ITG panel filter. So I e-mailed racelogic for a querie to see if they could help me... and got the following reply.
Can anyone tell me of any Metal Fabrication Companies or know what the guy is talking about below?
Thankyou in advance,
Ian

-If you really want to put on a Blitz induction kit then I can't see a
problem. Blitz do not have a specific kit for the Sport model but I am sure
if you made up your own adaptor you could fit one. The flange will need to
bolt up against the air flow sensor, so the bolt pattern and shape of the
flange will need to match the bolt pattern and shape of the air flow sensor.
The flange will also need a lip on it so you can then you fit your filter
over the flange. Most metal fabrication companies will be able to make
something like this for you.#-

Hos,

I know of loads..

I run a custom intake pipe on my car.. which my blitz fits onto.. lovely and stainless... plus thermally coated..

If it is just the flange you require I could make one up for you....

but I am very pushed for time at the mo...

Drop me a mail..

J.

ps - What about the fixing brackets ?
pss - I have access to a sport and a Blitz

Don't know exactly what this means but it sounds like you need a plate to bolt to the existing thing with a bit of metal coming out (I guess like a cylinder) so you can put the filter over it and jubilee clip it to it.

The main reason I answered is cos I always find Electronic Yellow Pages a REALLY useful web site for this sort of stuff. Put in "Metal Fabrication" in the What box and your town in the where and have a go...

Cool

Howdy again,

The metal thing he is talking of is like a small round baking tray.. or flan tray shape.. it has a 1" high side to it...

In the center is a hole..to allow the air to flow.. around that hole are four holes.. to allow you to bolt the plate/flange upto the air flow meter...

You simply fit and jubilee the blitz onto over the flange onto the 1" lip.

You might need new brackets to support the filter onto the car.
