Why not be an individual and leave them as standard, everyone seems to de-tango their car. IMHO they are as a naff as Lexus style rears, huge rear wings and rally decals.

Well that's nice for you as you've gone and changed yours. However I do think they are naff which is why I commented, it smacks of someone trying too hard. I'm not alone in thinking like this, although I imagine a good proportion of the scoobynet population (Gold wheel/big rear spoiler lovers!)probably prefer the de-tangoed look.
As the cars are seemingly so rare in cosmetically standard form I reckon it's best to just leave them as Subaru intended.

Wedges are infact already black, Subaru just thought they'd paint them orange.
I did this last month bit of paint thinnner soak them overnight and peel off the orange paint. Howver i have dmb and think colour coded would suit silver better in my opinion.

I remember having the same good natured (I hope this is) argument over Lexus style rears. Many comments about how much better they look etc etc. The general consensus now seems to be that they are naff in the extreme.
Short term fashion accessorising of your car is of course your prerogative, it wont be long though before people will be back to the orange wedges craving that 'original' look.
Original and best as the manufacturer intended.

Apart from some performance upgrades the answer is yes looks totally standard. People assume it's just a standard, slow UK Turbo, I like to surprise them.

How about NO wedges???
i don't care what anyone thinks, but i am not going back to standard from this...
of course as it's MY95 i never was fortunate enough to have tango wedges - but even if i did, they'd have lasted 2 minutes or less. if you like your car standard, that's good - i see some great examples that look really clean and you can appreciate the as such.
if you like to modify your car, then that's good too. as long as you're happy at the end of the day and you can enjoy your car then there can be no complaints. lets respect each others opinions whether or not we agree - but at the end of the day it what you like that counts!

ps, note how Subaru's latest, the WR1, has mesh, small driving lamps, big spoiler and is colour coded. enough said!

my indicators have been relocated in the side lights. some simple modification (making the recess bigger) to the side light is required to take the bigger indicator bulb (required to provide enough resistance so your winker doesn't flash too fast). after that, fitting of Silvertec bulbs ensures that the side light remains clear rather than tango'd!

Where did you get the clear wedge indicators from, they look great on a silver car?
