Ive just had my Spec C on the rollers (MY03)
What more can i say, the car is standard apart from the Hayward and Scott b/box, 1600 miles on the clock, in auto (not manual DCCD), figures are as follows (optimax and millers ob).
BHP 282 (5000rpm)
P@W 222
Now for the biggie
TORQUE:- 343.5lbs (rpm 3780)
I think ive got all that right
A BIG thanks to Pete and the boys at ProSport for letting me run

Its about 100lbs of torque more than my last impreza (MY00 PPP).
She is still quite tight though so will try again on the rolling road in a few months when she has a few k more under her belt

The VF36 does pick up quite quickly and as its a rollerbearing it has less drag due to friction, all in all im pretty happy with the results (especially with the torque )

Imagine what a de-cat exhaust, panel filter, and a remap could do to those figures!
Better check this thread out Tony http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=283364

Quite surprised two almost identical specC's are getting such different figures, and not consistently (considering both run on same rollers, albeit on different days).

Well if its accurate torque is fantastic, but I suspect its not, Prosport have trouble reading rpm from these cars, to check get them to print you a graph of speed versus power, then use the rpm at 60 mph that I know is 4450 to calculate what your torque is. If it confirms then great however i suspect not, Mike R's 321 number was suspect in my view as well although both his and this power fugures are very comparable to those of my car when it was std.
My prosport run had no torque as we knew the rpm figure was not right, I calced mine out from the power speed curve and got 355 ft lbs, I doubt that you are generating enough power from a car in std trim to get 340 ish, the intake and exhaust are both too restrictive and the std ecu maps don't lean towards those sorts of numbers.
What was your peak and held boost during the run ?
Sorry to be a damp squib, hope the figures are right.

Hiya Bob,
The info ive got on the printout that i can give is this:-
Tmax=343.5lbs, at n=3780rpm v=71.2mph
Pmax=282.4bhp, at v=94.2mph n=5000rpm
Ptol=-14.4% Pweels=222.3bhp Ploss=55.7bhp
Temp=55f, Press.=985mbar k=1.016 (din)
They ran the car to see if the reading was accurate (rpm) and looked so, but ill probably need to go for another (different) rolling road for a comparison really.

The diff wasnt locked though on mine, she was in auto mode...
Im going to put her on the rr again when she has a few more miles under her belt though

Tony if you have the graph of power v speed scan and mail and I'll do the math and mail it back, Prosport rollers are comparable for power to PE and G Force who are with 5bhp of each other normally imho, its just that Pete was having problems getting his rpm reader to pick up properly on cars with coil packs. Not his fault but down to the equipment.

when she has a few k more under her belt
I could help there as I don't work mon-fri !
Failing that, bring her along to the Fenay Bridge meet this thursday. We should be arranging our next FunDay at Rallydrive, so you have to bring her to that, as well as your cheap toy Entrance fee next time is $21 + passenger ride in the SpecC

In auto mode the losses in the transmission are greater, should be run in manual really with the diff locked ie control fully forward (remember to unlock b4 driving off the rollers). However for as long as you always do the same then its of no matter. Rollers are, after all, only a comparitor to check on improvements and compare against others. So as long as two similar cars are run the same way then the relative differences ought to be seen. Tony was it run in 4th or 5th ?

Sorry Bob, been away last week.
I think she was run in 5th, ill get the graph scanned this weekend and ill email it over to you, she seems to have loosened up a little over the last week (done 500 miles) so feels more enthusiastic now.
Thanks in advance!
