SO MANY QUESTIONS!!
More advice needed please!!
I have a 1993 wrx import and have carried out the following modifications:
Pipercross induction kit
Centre de cat and ninja back box (front de cat next month)
Running on octimax 98
Please can someone advise on:
1. Can you get a anti lag system fitted to this model?
2. What, if any, is the best chip etc to get for above model?
And finally, how do i get my car exhaust to pop and flame like the good old rally cars?!?!?!?
Thanks

What is a vta dump valve??
I have an after market baileys dump valve, is this the same?
Can you get a new ecu fitted to a 93 wrx that enables anti lag to be installed?
Thanks

vta = vent to atmosphere. If ya car makes a hiss when when ya lift off the throttle then its vta. It helps reduce turbo lag. Although, so does a recirculating dump valve like the one fitted as standard, but without the noise.
Can I ask why you want to fit anti-lag? It will very quickly cook your turbo and exhaust. And the lag really isnt that bad, is it?

Id buy a knocklink to show you what your engine is doing, ob is a must on a JDM car also, as for anti lag, its illegal to use on the road so you may as well forget it (it flames out the back normally so classed as hazzardous).
As for lag.... well you will buy a turbocharged car

The knocklink is around 90 quid, the sensor (bosch) is around 70 quid, you can order these from a variety of places, jap innovations in oldham (nw england) do them, BR Developements also do them (all can be mail ordered )

Are they easy to fit diy style or does it need to go to a performance garge to be installed?
Also i have been reading my "traing wrx" book and it was suggested that as the sensor works off an ultra sensitive microphone that any knocking or rattling in the engine bay will interfear with the readout?
Is this true?
I know nothing about cars!!
Thanks
