where did you get it from? CEL should light up.
Check you have it fitted properly, that is to say, make sure you don't have a pair of pins at one end not in the socket.

daft question i know, but has your battery gone flat?
you know the clicking noise that comes from having a nearly dead battery, like the soilnoid engaging but the starter not turning..............
just a thought.
and where did you get it from!!!!!!!

Could the ecu be duff? The clicking does suggest a flat battery tho, unless your starter motors on it's way out.

what car is it now fitted to? Car year and ECU type (W8,Z4,D7 etc...)
What car was the chip from? (again, car year and ECU type)
Who is the original supplier (Scott, David or Paul - no dig at any of you, but there are a few differences in your maps!)
Oh, and where abouts in the country are you? I'm willing to have a look if you're not too far from me.

It could have been programmed for a very early WRX (MY93/94) then. I know the chips for later cars (MY95/96) work in the earlier cars, but I'm not sure the other way round.
I also thought that most of the ScoobyECU people used the later cars as the basis for the chip, but I could be wrong. A thought: Is it a single chip version, or a ScoobyECU board?
I'm based around Southampton, so probably not too convenient for you to visit. I've fitted 3 or 4 ScoobyECUs now. It is well worth continuing to try to make it work, believe me! PM me if you want to sort out testing by post or something.

The chip came from me
I got it from David Wallis
I have a 93 WRX but I never bothered to fit is as I was waiting for summer to sort it out but my car got smashed up hence me selling it.
You could try asking David for advice
It says on the chip that its for a 94-96 car. whether thats import or not I dont know.
Hope you get it sorted
Regards
Steve
