Question Re-Learning Time

Following the replacement of a duff battery I find my fuel economy has plummeted (02STi/PPP), which I take to be on account of the ECU de-learning when the electrics went off. How long to re-learn, do you think??

Nothing wrong with the rapidity - except that of the fuel gauge
