Question Need help, had Cobra seats fitted today...

When i picked up the car after Cobra Daytonna seats and subframes had been fitted ive found that the drivers seat is about one and a half inches higher than the passenger seat, its also flatter looking (due to fitting). It is awfull to sit on, can only just fit my legs between the bottom of the steering wheel and the seat (i dont have big legs and i cant adjust the steering wheel any higher) Complained to the place that fitted them who said its due to the fact that the original seat had a height adjustment thingy on it (they did order a subframe taking this into account) and it happens to all subaru's when after market Cobra seats are fitted, down to the way Cobra make the subframe.
Anyone heard of this before?? I cant drive with the seat like it its horrid. What do i do now???

I`ve had Cobra seats in my UK 00MY. Drivers seat does give a little less room to the steering wheel, but I`m large (!). Both seats the same height though!

Sounds like an incorrect subframe.....I`ve found mine to be better (for me) than the std seats.....

The seat squab IS slightly higher at the front edge of the seat - not much clearance between legs and bottom of steering wheel!

However the squab also slopes downwards towards the rear of the seat.

It does not feel like sitting on a bus!! My old seats also had the height adjuster (although it was more of a slope adjuster!!)

Where you based, you could have a look at mine?

Just feels like someone has put a cushion on my seat to make me higher, very odd feeling!! Cheers for the help m8.

I wok at Ford R&D center near basildon - your welcome to pop down some time (drop me an e-mail).

I guess if the seat is further forward than full back( as mine is) the gap between steering wheel and seat might get smaller?

Have you tried phoning Cobra direct - pretty helpful?

James, spoke to someone at Cobra last night, they have asked me to take the car over to Telford. They will then sort it out for me free of charge. Long way to go but i dont care as long as they sort them out. Very helpfull people tbh.
Thanks for the help, really do appreciate it.
