Zero to Hero and back again! Car went back to standard last week
Well, it's been a very fun 16 months, but the love affair is now officially over, for this car at least.
A huge thank you to everybody here who has given me advice, opinions and some fantastic comments along the way, and particularly to the following:
TSL Motorsport
Powerstation
Tileys of Bristol
Iain Litchfield
SIDC
Scoobynet
Track Action
Book a Track
Also power engineering, who went out of their way to sort out a problem with my remap, and did a flawless job of returning the card standard last week.
I have to say I was expecting the driving experience to be pretty poor now it is standard again, but I am completely amazed at how effortlessly fast, and incredibly refined it feels, even with the gear shift back to standard, and the twin pea shooter exhaust!! It's so relaxing to drive compared with before, and yet there is still enough speed on tap to pass queues of traffic and have fun on b-roads. The engine has loosened up nicely and now produces 226bhp and 245lb of torque.
All that is left is to transfer the plate off the car, remove the final couple of bits (quickrack, sti7 scoop) and she is ready for a new owner.
Next car will be a cheap and reliable runaround whilst the business takes off and I buy a house. Absolutely no idea if I will be back to Scoobydom, although I have to admit I am hankering after rwd and naturally aspirated CC's, but never say never!
I will certainly still be around on the scene, so hopefully see some of you around!
cheers
Ed

Cheers mate,
Also forgot to thank Bob Rawle, who helped me out a number of times through sheer love for what he does.

Tony, will do mate, see you at the ring etc.
Steve, thanks, I may well be there on the 27th for a few passenger rides. May or may not have the car with me but if I do you will hardly recognise it
