Dash illumination

Dash illumination
Just got my first Impreza 3 wks ago (still giggling every time i get in it!), and I've got a quick question.
Should the bright switch, headlamp height adjuster, hazard, and rear demister switches be lit up when the lights are on?
The heater controls and fog switches are, but none of the above.
Is this normal, or should I start poking around and replacing bulbs!?
Cheers,
Gary

What model year car are you talking about? Assuming it's an MY97-MY00 classic shape car, bright switch shouldn't be illuminated, but hazard light button, rear demist button and headlamp adjuster should have backlit illumination that comes on with the rest of the dash.
The rear demist should also have a yellow tell-tale that illuminates when the demister is active.

Great. Cheers for the information! You're right that it's an MY98 classic. I'll have a look into that today then..
