Default Which Cat to remove?

I have had this discussion with different company's and owners all with differing views.

Some say remove the centre cat (as i have)
Some say remove the first cat (near the turbo i believe)

Come on experts, is there any difference and does it really matter.

most power will be gained if you remove the downpipe (one side of the turbo)- you also have a up pipe (asuming you have a my02 bugeye wrx, this is the other side of the turbo) not so much power to be gained here, but there are horror stories about this cat breaking up and going through the turbo when engine mods such at ecu tek have be carried out... not sure about this but it made me think about doing it

remove them all is the easy answer and then if you get a ecu teK your wrx will be STI quick
