Default P1 purchase?

Would very much appreciate some advice please. I have an opportunity to
purchase a July 2001 Y registered P1 with 26,000 miles on the clock FMDSH from a local Subaru dealer (need to decide tonight!). It has 3 previous owners - 2 of which in the last 12 months. Car was last serviced in April last year at 24,000. From what I can see, car is in absolutely first class condition (no scuffs on wheels etc) so what do you think? The number of previous owners concerns me a little. Price is £ 20,000.
I have also seen an EVO7 with similar miles FSH but only 1 owner.
P1 or EVO?

I thought the service intervals on the classic shape were 6,000 miles or 6 months , if it was serviced last in April last year it's missing one from October . Perhaps to p1 was different , Il'd check first if I were you might be able to get some money off etc

P1 service intervals are 7.5K or 6 months so it has missed a service and is due for another one. Personally I would give it a miss, price is a bit high but more concen is why has it not been serviced?

Thanks to you all for your responses. Number of previous owners plus missed service in October (and only 2,500 miles covered since April 03 service) is a big negative in my book. Shame as the car looks A1.

If the car was last serviced in Apr '03 then the warrenty is void!
As stated above, it's ott on the price front

Cool

Stick with the P1 idea and look for other cars. There probably will be a few on www.subaru.co.uk and www.ixm.co.uk and www.autotrader.co.uk not to mention the few that are bound to be on here for sale.

If you do 5,000 or less a year then your warranty is covered and you can have the car serviced once a year.

I have seen people with confirmation letters from Subaru to confirm this.

Steve.
