I'll have a look for the website!
http://www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm (their home page is http://www.b-hague.co.uk)
I just got one of the ones in the link above (the SM1 suction mount). Think it came the next day, and is very good quality.
I got it for track days but had a quick play the other day with it stuck on the windscreen facing forward - its great and would be the popular choice I would imagine (the only reason I knew about it was via recomendations).
Havent tried it on the outside of the car yet
- may take my old camcorder and try it at my track day at he weekend though

cheers for the responses John and Hyb. That's what I'm after.
Haven't actually got the camera yet - wanted to make sure I could mount it first. I want it mainly for track days, cruises and those late nights when the roads are empty - gotta get night vision on my camera.
Thanks...

Hi Dan,
Have a word with Gangsta, he had a suction mounting bracket, for inside screen, or fixed to exterior panels, meant to be fully gauranteed not to fall off!, think he only used it once.
all the best

From: I wish we had a non-profit making website to put here.
Having had CW42's sucker on my body (ooh err!) on various occasions, including bumpy back roads and on track, I can promise you it won't fall off and it won't damage your bodywork.
try Ian sadler on ian_sadler@hotmail.com. Bought a suction mount from hime at a very reasonable cost...
I can positively recommend these camera mounts from both inside and outside your car. I've had mine for over a year now, top build quality, and you can pull your car with the power of the sucker!
I've had it all over mine and lots of other cars, both on track and down country lanes, fantastic bit of "top gear" filming too!
Get one m8, you wont regret it.
chris.

Nice one Subtyper - thanks so much for doing this
Are you going to start a new thread with Group Buy for camera mounts in the title to get more people in, incase the company ask for a large number...

I bought my pen camera from RF Concepts(approx £110-145) and a Sony Video Walkman from e-bay for £190 ish including a TV tuner. With a couple of BNC to RCA connector's you have a video camera with remote lens, at a price lower than most new video camera's, especially if you have to buy a mount as well, as you get two methods of mounting, a fixed stand and a velcro mount in the camera kit.
If you Video camera has got a RCA video in capability then you do not need the walkman but can use the camera you already own. (One thing to bear in mind is that not many UK cameras have Video-in as there is some tax law that would make the price higher if it has the capability).
I use mine for rallying and very rarely get any jumping of the captured image, which I used to get a lot of with a digital video camera.
1998s - cheers for the tip, sounds like a great idea but thanks to my lovely sister, who's donated her cam corder to me, I'm just gonna go with the suction mounts for now - but I'll keep the idea in mind if the picture's not stable enough... My filming will all be ontrack, so it's not quite as bumpy as when you go rallying
(out of interest, do you have any clips for us to download - I love watching incar footage!)
I know about the stupid AV and digital inputs. Most camera manufacturers produce a second model that's identical except it has the inputs enabled for another £30 to £50
And as I've got the cam corder now, can I wait for the group buy especially knowing that I can get it tomorrow if I order today. I'll hang on for now though...
Subtyper - have they got back to you yet with price and how many of us they want?
Thanks again all - new I could rely on the scoobynet boys and girls to help me out :-)
