Default Up-grade on brakes

I have a MY02 and I want to get an upgrade on the brakes. I expect I should be spending about £1500-2000? Can any one recommend a brake upgrade? I have been researching but not sure what to go for brembo, AP etc.?

Would the above price include discs?

depends what size wheels you have. If they are 18" Powestation can supply and fit AP 6 pots with 355mm disks for £1600

Difficult to make any suggestions without knowing your proposed usage SS, but if you're looking at enthusiastic road use on an MY02 WRX, you won't need to spend anywhere near that sort of money.

If all you want is quick road use, you could do a lot worse than the Godspeed 335mm upgrade kit, which uses the standard four pot Subaru calipers remounted and spaced to take the bigger, thicker discs, which are mounted on a separate aluminium bell. The kit comes with Ferodo DS2500 pads for less than £600 IIRC.

Add braided lines and high temperature fluid, and you'll have a system that will be up to anything you're likely to do on the road, as well as enthusiastic track use.

my wheels ar 17" and the amount usesage is going to be largely on the road, and the odd track day!

Greasemonky's reply sounds good!

Midlife, the extra track is tiny, a lot of people run with the wrong offset wheels anyway! I think it's about 2mm each side!
I too have the 335mm kit on my my00, they're awesome, get grooved only if you like stopping quickly!!
