Default halfords paint codes - help please

sorry to post this again. been to halfords to get some touch up paint for my royal silver STIV (paint code 792) and they have 3 slightly different versions of this with the same code. ie code 792 produces a paint called 8156 or 8156/M and they have differing amounts of yellow in them

Can anyone help with this. Which one do i need?

I've been to 3 local Halfords (2 big ones) and none of them sell touch up paint for Scoobys.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but where can I get touch up paint/pens from? Do main dealers sell them? Thats a ;ast resort though as I'm sure it will be mega $$$

With the paint code off your VIN plate Halfords can make you a tin up while you wait. Sounds like silver has different shade as well though, they should have given it a different number would have been easier.

chrisp = i think that is the problem. Dealers etc just can get hold of paint with the code 792. Halfords however, have 3 different shades with the same code. i am a little stumped how to find out which is mine - anyone any bright ideas?>?
